Aware

Aware provide support and assistance to people affected by depression, bipolar and mood disorders.

Aware has support groups around the country. Helpline and next-day email support service available. Aware have a freephone helpline that is open Monday-Sunday from 10am to 10pm - 1800 80 48 48.

 

BeLonG To

BeLonG To Youth Services is the national organisation supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI+) young people in Ireland which aims to create a world where all are equal, safe, and valued in the diversity of their identities and experiences. 

 

Calm

Calm is a meditation website and app which provides various meditation exercises designed to help with a variety of things, such as sleep, anxiety, and mindfulness. There are both free and paid options. See also: Balance and Headspace.

Couch to 5k

Couch to 5k is a 9-week podcast series aimed to get people running! There are various physical and mental health benefits associated with running and this podcast series is a really accessible and user-friendly way in. 

 

Jigsaw

If you’re in your teens or early twenties, JigsawOnline has information, exercises, and tools that you may find helpful. Jigsaw provides face-to-face services across 14 locations nationwide.

 

Mental Health Ireland

Mental Health Ireland promotes positive mental health and wellbeing to all individuals and communities, and through their network of Mental Health Associations they support people who experience difficulties on their journey of recovery.

 

MyMind - Centre for Mental Wellbeing

MyMind provides accessible and affordable counselling and psychotherapy services in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. MyMind Services include face-to-face counselling, online video sessions, and work-based counselling. (+353) 76 680 1060

 

National Office for Suicide Prevention

The National Office for Suicide Prevention oversee the implementation of 'Reach Out,' the National Strategy for Action on Suicide Prevention, and co-ordinates suicide prevention efforts around the country. (01) 635 2179/2139

 

Niteline

Niteline is a free, confidential, and non-judgemental student listening service that is available every night of term between 21:00 and 02:30. Freephone: 1800 793 793

 

Pieta House

Pieta provides free therapy to those engaging in self-harm, with suicidal ideation, or bereaved by suicide. Treating all with respect and dignity, Pieta House is rooted in compassion and care, to generate and nourish hope to empower.

 

Positive Mental Health: Spun Out.ie 

SpunOut.ie promotes positive mental health for young people by providing information on a range of different topics across education, employment, health, life and opinion.

 

Samaritans

The Samaritans offer ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. They encourage, promote and celebrate the moments of connection between people that can save lives. If you need someone to talk to, the Samaritans listen without judgement or telling you what to do. Freephone lines are open 24/7 at 116 123 or emails can be sent to jo@samaritans.ie.

 

Sexual Well Being

This website provides safe and reliable information as part of the HSE Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme.

 

ShoutOut

The ShoutOut Student workshop is an interactive, dynamic and informative hour long session where the facilitators explore LGBTQ+ terminology, scenarios where students can act as good allies, and ways in which to create a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ students. 

 

Step Out Ireland

Step Out Ireland arranges social interaction groups where you can meet other people suffering from social anxiety, build up your levels of social confidence and feel a sense of belonging. (089 4562488)

 

The GUIDE Clinic at St James' Hospital

The GUIDE Clinic is the largest, free STI, HIV and Infectious Disease service in Ireland.

 

Yoga with Adriene

Yoga with Adriene is a popular YouTube channel for those interested in yoga. Yoga can provide a number of physical and mental benefits, and Adriene’s classes are accessible for all levels of ability and experience.

YourMentalHealth.ie aims to improve awareness and understanding of mental health and well-being in Ireland.  The website has information on mental health and support services.
